Springhill Suites Huntsville Downtown is one of those properties that you stay at and remember how convenient it was. Upon arriving, I was a little apprehensive, as it appeared to be in an industrial area. The area around this hotel is wide open, yet it is conveniently located near everything you will want to experience while in Huntsville, Alabama.
*Thank you to Springhill Suites Huntsville Downtown for two nights of complimentary lodging.
The staff greeted my husband and I with smiles and made us feel like we were everyday acquaintances. One of the things I like to do is ask for recommendations from the locals on where to dine. And once again, the locals were spot on. They recommended Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza, which was a short drive from the hotel and it hit the spot!
Our hotel room had a wonderful workspace, which was ideal, as I had a Facebook live chat that I needed to participate in upon our arrival.
I did put the wi-fi to the test and it held up during the live chat. A nice desk, cozy chair and the ability to stay connected, made for a happy travel writer. The closet space was not huge, but ideal for the overnight business traveler.
A complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of breakfast items. One trend that I am seeing when it comes to breakfasts in the hotel industry, is that they are fresher and healthier. How does this look, when it comes to waking your taste buds up for the day?
Are you looking to get a little exercise while traveling? The seasonal outdoor swimming pool is available for guests, as well as an exercise room.
I did need a little extra help from the front desk at one point during our stay, as our room key had stopped working. They promptly confirmed my identity and were able to get me back into our hotel room.
I loved how conveniently located this property was in Huntsville. I have so much more to share, in regards to Huntsville, Alabama. Stay tuned, as we are going to experience space, nature and some great Mexican food!
