Tips For Cruising On The Carnival Dream: 7-Day Western Caribbean Cruise

The Carnival Dream currently sails out of Port Canaveral offering a 7-Day Western Caribbean Cruise. We sailed on this cruise October 26- November 2, 2013. The itinerary was fantastic and the ship itself, offers an experience all of its own. Having cruised one time before, on an extended family cruise, this time was different. It was just my husband and I. Cruising works great for every style of family, as there is always something going on for everyone on board. The views on board the ship were simply stunning!

Our itinerary looked like this:

Day 1: Sail Away

Day 2: Fun Day at Sea

Day 3: Cozumel, Mexico Day

Cozumel, Mexico

Day 4: Belize City, Belize

Day 5: Isla Roatan, Honduras

Day 6: Coasta Maya, Mexico Day

7: Fun Day at Sea

Day 8: Back at Port Canaveral (Early Morning)

The main reason we chose this cruise was the fact that it offered a lot! With four ports of call, we knew we had the opportunity to see a lot. Many folks like to cruise and stay on the ship; but we like to cruise and check out what each individual port of call has to offer. We arrived at Mahogany Bay in Isla Roatan, and found the Carnival Conquest right near us.

If you do choose to explore the different ports, be sure you understand where it is safe to go and you know what time the ship is on. The ship leaves on the ship’s time, not the port of call’s time. I would recommend a watch for this purpose, as electronic devices like to switch over to so called “local time.” Before you leave the ship, be sure to tear off the schedule for the day (perforated right side) of the Fun Times to take with you, as this will have the emergency contact information for that particular day’s port of call.

I am excited to share our cruising experience with you, as I have a lot information for you. Check out what Carnival Cruise Lines has to offer, as their cruises are affordable, fun, and offer itineraries to some fabulous ports of call. We loved the opportunity to eat delicious food, explore new countries, and the ability to not have a care in the world as to what time of day or actual day it was, at different times throughout the cruise. Each port of call had something unique to offer. Stay tuned, as I have a lot to share.
