24 Hours In Roseville, Minnesota
I recently stayed and played in Roseville, Minnesota for 24 hours. I managed to pack in a lot of fun and a cozy night’s stay while in Roseville. The Radisson in Roseville offered up a friendly smile upon check in, as well as a cozy bed for the night.
Roseville is conveniently located east of Minneapolis and north of St. Paul. Here you will position yourself right in the middle of all the fun that the Twin Cities have to offer. With 24 hours, my visit was short, sweet and mighty fun!
Mall of America
The Mall of America is a must visit while in the Twin Cities. Where else can you shop, be entertained, eat terrific food and experience the thrills of an indoor amusement park? With more than 520 shops of tax-free shopping, this is truly a shopping lover’s dream come true. There are a lot of unique shops, as well as some of your favorites, which include: American Eagle, Best Buy, American Girl, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and hundreds of other popular shops. Nickelodeon Universe offers more than 30 rides and attractions, including the Pepsi Orange Streak.
The Oval
Ice skating is very popular in Minnesota and Roseville offers the perfect opportunity for you to experience the ice. The Oval is home to an all year round indoor ice skating facility and an outdoor ice skating facility that is open November- April (weather permitting). Public skate times are available.
If you would rather watch others ice skate, check out the schedule for a game. If your visit coincides with a game night while you are in town, you can watch a hockey game or a figure skating performance or two.
Como Park Zoo & Observatory
The Como Park Zoo & Observatory is a free zoo. A lot of it is outdoors, so dress accordingly. There is no charge, but there is a place for donations. I personally enjoy watching the polar bears while visiting this zoo. It’s conveniently located to Roseville and seriously one of the best free zoos around!
If you happen to be in town the 12 days leading up and through Labor Day, you will want to plan a visit to “The Great Minnesota Get Together,” other wise known as the Minnesota State Fair. Roseville is the ideal location to book your reservations for this annual event. My advice, book early, as you will be two miles from the fun of the fair.
Have you stayed in Roseville? If so, I’d love to hear what you experienced. This is just a glimpse into what the area has to offer. Book your stay today and you will be glad you experienced all that Roseville has to offer. But hey, I don’t think it’s too shabby for a 24 hour visit, do you?
*Thank you to the Roseville Visitor’s Association for hosting me.
