History Of Stone Mill Hotel & Suites
The Stone Mill Hotel & Suites is in an old “feed mill” and an old stone building. In the early 2000s, this beautiful property came to fruition. When you view the property, it’s easy to envision how the feed mill and stone building looked years ago. They don’t look vastly different, which makes this lodging so much fun.
Today you can shop in the feed mill building, and you can stay in one of the rooms & suites in the stone building. Each unit is themed for a fun lodging experience. I stayed in the Forest Jacuzzi Suite.
Accessibility Varies In The Stone Mill Inn & Suites
There are several steps throughout the old stone building. If you need a room that doesn’t require stairs, be sure to request that in your lodging request.
Several units are located near the breakfast area, without the necessity of stairs. Parking is convenient, free, and a short walk from your room.
Amenities At Stone Mill Inn & Suites
One of the best amenities I have seen in a town that is home to a bike trail is locked bike storage. The Stone Mill Inn & Suites offers free locked bike storage for all of their guests.
Another amenity that is unique is that the front desk staff will walk you to your unit. They will show you how to use the tv remote and how to set the heat and the air conditioning.
A continental breakfast on-site offers freshly baked goods from the local bakery, a short walk from the property. Puzzles, games, a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker are also in each unit. You will find all of the amenities of home, including free wireless-internet and cable tv access. Tip: Make time to sit on the patio area.
Themes for Your Experience
Some of the themed units include an Amish room, Buffalo Bill Suite & Bunkhouse, Fishing Room, and a Grain Room. Each of these units offers unique features. My unit, the Forest Jacuzzi Suite offered a cozy Jacuzzi and queen bed. I loved that the stone walls are featured and it was one of the best two nights of sleep I have had in quite some time.
No matter where you stay at the Stone Mill Inn & Suites, you will find yourself planning a return trip. I was not surprised to learn that many guests are repeat guests. Anytime I feel like I am at home and in a cozy space, I also find myself planning a return visit. You cannot go wrong when you stay at the Stone Mill Inn & Suites in Lanesboro, Minnesota.
