I ordered the Legacy’s Burger, a half-pound burger with provolone cheese, bacon, onion strings, and a homemade root beer bourbon bbq sauce. Anytime, any menu has a homemade bbq sauce on it, you know it’s going to be mouth-watering. The Wisconsin cheese curds are the best of the best, along with the hand-breaded onion rings. My friend ordered the hand-breaded chicken tenders, which also received a thumbs up. The best tip I can give you, is to arrive hungry.

A Community Gathering Place

The Willoway Complex in Sutherland offers 17 senior (55+) independent living apartments. The 1921 three-story building was once a school. It’s nice to see how the community has repurposed an old school and made it a place for the community to gather.

The indoor swimming pool is incredible, along with a fitness center, activity room, and school memories have been kept throughout the building. If you look at the stairs near the front entrance, you can see where the school kids walked the most.

Over time, new things are being found that hold the history of Sutherland and O’Brien County. It’s nice to see towns in Rural America hold onto the treasures that they have.
