There is also a nice collection of aircraft located in USS Alabama Memorial Park. Some aircraft are located outdoors and others are inside. The Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion is home to a large collection of aircraft. The A-12 Blackbird has a wing span of 65 feet and is 125 feet in length. It flew 2,300 miles per hour and 93,700 feet high.
The CIA used it in 1965 for spy missions. A recently restored VH1-N/Bell 212 helicopter used by Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush is also on display.

I also made note of the picnic tables that dot the grounds, making this attraction a fun place for a picnic.
The USS DRUM is also on site here near the USS Alabama. This is the oldest American submarine on display in the world. There’s also a nice display of military equipment throughout the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park area.
