Christmas lights in Indiana are always special. I recently had the opportunity to preview the Lights of Joy in Shipshewana, Indiana. Shipshewana is home to some of the best Christmas lights in Indiana.

The Shipshewana Lights of Joy Drive Thru experience is an incredible way to embrace the Christmas season. With more than two million LED Christmas lights, you don’t want to miss this incredible experience. Here are some tips on how you can get the most out of this amazing experience.

Purchase Tickets To Lights of Joy
Purchasing tickets ahead of time is easy to do. If someone wants to give a unique Christmas gift, this holiday experience is a great family gift. By purchasing tickets ahead of time, it saves you the hassle of purchasing them at the gate. You do have to wait in the regular line to view the magical displays.
Tickets are Affordable For Lights of Joy
When I learned that admission is charged per vehicle, it took me back to the days of the drive-in theaters. Do you recall trying to fit as many people into a car to experience a movie at the drive-in? Tickets are $20 per vehicle. You can purchase a season pass (5 visits) for $60 and a same night (2nd time- traffic permitting) $5. Overall, this is one of the most affordable Christmas experiences you will find.
Tip: Stop to listen to Rudolph perform as you near the exit.

November 17 – 19 (Friday-Sunday)
November 24 – December 31 (seven days/week)
Closed Christmas Day and December 26
Hours: Sunday- Thursday 6 pm – 9 pm
Friday & Saturday 6 pm – 10 pm
(All cars that are in line by close will be admitted)
These magical Christmas lights in Indiana will brighten your day and everyone around you. The Downtown area of Shipshewana is also gorgeous, you don’t want to miss seeing the beautiful Christmas lights. Selfie opportunities are everywhere!
