Spend two hours, a full day or a weekend and you will understand why Mineral Point is known for its shopping. The first Saturday in December features Candlelight Shopping. The sun sets and the magic begins. Holiday lights line the streetscape, along with store fronts. Candle luminaries burn bright, offering all guests a magical experience in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Shopping is abundant and the only downfall of our visit was that we needed more time. This means we need a return visit.

Antique Shops In Mineral Point

There are several antique shops in Mineral Point on High Street. As we walked into Ifinder Antiques we were greeted by owner Stephen Ladd. He was genuine and offered fantastic customer service. He not only answered our questions, but he also answered the many questions that others had during our visit.

My husband and I enjoy searching for vinyl records and Ifinder Antiques had plenty of them for us to “dig” through.

Michael’s Fine Art & Antiques is a shop unlike anything we had experienced. His shop is filled with paintings from all around the world. Literally, from all around the world. The frames and photos are each majestic in their own ways. Step into both of these shops for experiences you will continue to talk about.

Shop In A Ben Franklin Store

Ben Franklin Stores have been around a long time, but today there are near 200 that remain open. Mineral Point, Wisconsin, is fortunate to have one of these. The Ben Franklin Store Five and Ten carries a large selection of toys that are hard to find elsewhere. The list goes on and on as this is one of many places to shop in Mineral Point.

A Garden Center & More

Aspen Ridge Home & Garden Center not only provides outdoor plants and flowers when in season, it offers a magical experience at Christmastime. I visited on a weekend when Santa visited on Sunday, and Saturday was a day of hot cocoa and cookies.

The garden center has a beautiful backdrop for you and your family to take a family photo and enjoy the fun of the Christmas season. Each year the family-photo/Santa area has a different theme. In 2024, the theme is all about making family memories.

Candles, specialty socks, purses, dips, and jewelry can all be found in this garden center. Unique Christmas table centerpieces are also available, making this a must stop for your holiday needs and more. And if you need a Christmas tree, they also have those in stock.

Art and More Art

A highlight of our visit was the Wantoot American Art and Craft Gallery. Husband and wife, Ried and Kathy are the owners of the gallery. Kathy’s work is featured in the gallery and Ried manages the business.

This duo is passionate about art and they have been able to fulfill their passion in Mineral Point. All of the artists that have art featured in the gallery live and work in the United States. Make time to stroll through the gallery and you will find some inspirational art.

Brewery Pottery, Buster & Brunos, along with the Longbranch Gallery were three stops that we could have spent hours in. This is a small glimpse at all of the galleries that Mineral Point has to offer. Buster & Brunos has a train in their window that travels throughout their shop, making it a truly one-of-a-kind experience. These are some of the best places to shop in Mineral Point.

Shop In A Mercantile

Sullivan’s Mercantile offers local merchandise, along with fun clothing for your family. Christmas brings holiday decor scattered throughout. If you enjoy wine, Sullivan’s also has you covered.
