Clay Center, Kansas
Clay Center, Kansas, is home to more than 20 murals. No matter where you live, Clay Center is worth the drive. My favorite mural in Clay Center is ‘Sunflower State of Mind.’

The mural was painted in 2022 by C. Stanley Creative of Orlando, Florida. This colorful mural is located downtown, at 531 Court Street.

It is fitting that the Lindsborg Community Library has a mural on the back wall. When is the last time you recognized a library from the outside? This is one of the best Kansas murals.

The mural was painted in 2021 by local artist Meghan Klaassen. This fun mural is located at 111 S Main, in the heart of Lindsborg, Kansas.
Salina, Kansas
Artist Van Guido Van Helten of Australia has done it again in Salina, Kansas. His artwork is becoming recognizable across the Midwest, as grain silos take on new life. This mural was completed in 2021. You can view this gorgeous mural on the 100-foot tall H.D. Lee Flour Mill on North Santa Fe Avenue.

There’s something about Cousin Eddie from the Vacation movies. Did you know that you can visit Cousin Eddie’s Visitor Center in Coolidge, Kansas. You can view a mural that will catch your eye, as you drive on Highway 50 in Coolidge, Kansas, population of under 100.
Abilene, Kansas
Talk about a wow factor! On the outside wall of a local meat shop, Midwest Meats, you can view the incredible mural of a longhorn. The Midwest Meats Longhorn Mural was completed in 2022 by Mindy’s Murals. It is located at 610 Buckeye Avenue.
Pittsburg, Kansas
Jessica Stout, of Miami Oklahoma, is the artist behind one of Pittsburg’s newest murals. Books and Burrow Bookstore owners have this to say about this beautiful mural. “Lenaswa Waayaahtoanonki or Bison of the Whirlpool/from the place of the Wea/Wea Homelands is an interpretation of the emergence of our ancestors from the waters of Saakiiweesiipiwi (St. Joseph river near present-day South Bend, Indiana), their homeland journey, and displacement to Kansas and finally northeast Oklahoma were our tribe is located today.” The mural is located behind the bookstore at 212 South Broadway.
